Over the last few weeks, I have been reviewing the different ways of advertising and marketing that are new to social media and internet marketing. They are changing and many new things are emerging as clever and productive. Others will help you get more response for less. Here are a few of my findings:
Social media postings – Quotes & Such
One company I discovered has a program that posts to your social media accounts on a regular basis. They do one to two mini movies each month that are inspirational and then post three to six static post of a saying or thought. You can add to this at any time but it has helped several companies get their social media going for a minimal investment.
Social media postings – Yours
This firm helps you come up with the ideas but then takes the ideas and quotes and builds your own blogs or articles. They are a writing company that employees writers and editors from the newspaper industry that have lost their jobs. Needless to say, they are good at writing. Again, effective and increases your influence. Put these two posting companies together and watch out!
Want to get into Pay Per Click?
Pay Per Click advertising is used on many of the popular directory sites (Google, Yahoo, Ask, Bing, etc). It is the top three ads on many pages in Google and usually have a very faint yellow background. Companies pay (bid) to get at the top of these pages. The company doesn’t pay until someone clicks on the link to your website. For some categories, it can be up to hundreds of collars per click. Others are only pennies. The difference is how many people want to be on the top of the page and how much are they willing to pay for it.
There are many companies that can help you with this but they are not all the same. I have found some that charge you for each transaction (like a stock broker does), and others that take a commission from the directory company. Some work with only Google and others work with several providers.
There is also a company that will teach you how to do PPC for yourself and not have to pay anyone for managing your ads. They have a one time fee and they spend a day with you setting everything up and teaching you how it works and the tricks that others don’t want you to know. Then after a few weeks they come back for a review and to help you customize your ads more. For someone that wants to get into PPC without the added cost of someone else maintaining it, this is perfect.
Looking to build a new website or renovate your old one?
There is a company that now teaches a class that helps you put together all the things you need to know before you go to the designer to get it built. It is designed so that you will have a better website with all the things you need to put together to create it. This is a multi-day class and is very comprehensive. A must for someone who has never done a website before and wants to come out with a BANG!
Booster Bar -SEO help
There are many Search Engine Optimization (SEO) companies that can help (see the next section) but I have found something that is amazing at boosting your rankings without much effort and for less than $100. It is called Booster Bar and helps build SEO, traffic and ultimately revenue in just a few months.
True SEO
This is a new field but there are many people saying they are good at this but aren’t. There are companies that will charge high dollars for only limited results. I recommend going with a reputable company or one that offers results based payments. One company I work with won’t have you pay anything until they get you to the agreed upon page of the search engines. If they can’t do it, you don’t pay. If they can, you will pay a predetermined price. This is one industry that the buyer MUST beware.
